Nissan installs a 1.6-liter engine block on the entire 2024 Kicks lineup. This compact I-4 engine whips out 122 net horsepower at 6,300 RPM. When operating at 4,000 RPM, the four-cylinder powertrain dishes out 114 lb-ft of peak torque. The Xtronic continuously variable transmission extracts power from the gasoline engine. This legendary CVT system diverts all available torque to the front wheels. A limited-slip differential slightly improves handling and overall performance on the SR edition. Both Nissan crossover SUVs carry up to 10.8 total gallons of unleaded gasoline. A 36-mpg fuel economy on the highway is assigned to each trim. Therefore, families can enjoy an approximate driving range of 390 miles for road trips. A 31-mpg fuel economy in the city also provides excellent value for urban commuters.
Amenities
The 2024 Kicks S has a six-way driver’s seat with manual controls and cloth upholstery. You could add signature leatherette trimming to the SR’s six-way driver’s seat, a unique feature of the SR model. This upgraded material is part of the optional Premium Package. You’ll also get a heated steering wheel and heated front seats from this advanced bundle. Both crossover SUVs have a standard 60-40 rear seating system for three adults. These subcompact vehicles offer an impressive 43.7 inches of legroom in the first row. Occupants in the second row have 33.5 inches of legroom. You’ll find a conventional push-button ignition system inside the base Kicks trim. The Nissan Intelligent Key provides better convenience inside the SR version. This high-end edition also flaunts heated outside mirrors and flashing turn signal indicators. LED technology is fully used for the model’s fog lights and high/low beams. The entry-level Kicks trim comes standard with halogen headlamps. Both vehicles could be equipped with an optional External Ground Lighting package, which includes remote-activated puddle lights.
Technology Features
The 2024 Kicks S comes standard with a 7-inch LCD display and the NissanConnect technology. You’ll get an 8-inch LCD touchscreen with greater applications on the SR model. Both Nissan crossover SUVs have Android Auto and Apple CarPlay mirroring capabilities. You can use wireless Bluetooth technology to stream audio from connected mobile devices. The base model has a total of three USB ports. You’ll get an additional USB port on the SR. The Intelligent Around View Monitor is another premier technology on this trim. This advanced camera system shows overhead, curb and other views on the multimedia display. The base version comes with the traditional RearView Monitor, which only shows a single view in real-time. Additionally, the SR grade is available with an eight-speaker audio system from Bose.
