Performance Features
Delivering nearly 150 net hp per SAE regulations, a 2.0-L engine block powers the 2022 Nissan Sentra SV and SR. This four-cylinder, 16-valve powertrain utilizes the Direct Injection Gasoline technology for combustion. The Continuous Variable Valve Timing Control System regulates the intake and exhaust cycles with precision. All power travels from the DGI powertrain to a continuously variable transmission (CVT) system. Sticking to the legendary Xtronic design, the CVT transfers torque to the front wheels. Based on EPA standards, the SV edition gets up to 39 mpg on the highway and 29 mpg in the city. The SR model offers 37 mpg on the highway and 28 mpg on urban roads. Both Nissan sedans meet the LEV3-ULEV 125 certification for emissions in the USA. A 12-V starter and 150-amp alternator are other standard accessories under the hood of these compact cars. Measuring 11 inches in diameter, vented disc brakes are installed on the front wheels of each model. Measuring 10.2 inches, vented disc brakes are also integrated into the rear wheels of both vehicles. A foot-activated parking brake and the Brake Assist are some other mechanical technologies that provide peace of mind. Additionally, both 2022 Sentra models have the Intelligent Trace Control function, which manages yaw and body lean during a sharp turn.
Design Features
Providing six-way manual adjustments, the 2022 Nissan Sentra SV’s driver’s seat is wrapped in upgraded cloth. You could select the optional quilted leather finish for a more upscale appearance. The SR edition is furnished with the Sport cloth upholstery, which has bright orange stitches. You may add the optional Prima-Tex material to this high-level trim. Both Sentra models offer heated front seats with two different settings for warmth. Having a coefficient of drag (Cd) of just 0.27, the SV has better aerodynamics than before. As a more premium trim, the SV edition has a slightly higher Cd. You could enhance the SV’s overall design with the Premium Package, including 17-inch alloy wheels, a leather-appointed shift knob, and other amenities. The Midnight Edition bundle adds the black V-motion front grille, 18-inch alloy wheels, a rear spoiler, and other accessories on the SR model.
Safety Features
The 2022 Nissan Sentra SV and SR have an energy-absorbing steering column, hood-buckling creases, multiple crumple zones, and other standard passive safety features. Both Nissan sedans include the default Automatic Emergency Braking and Intelligent Forward Collision Warning for preventing frontal impacts with cars or people. These nimble Nissan sedans also boast the standard Rear Automatic Braking for class-leading guidance for parking. Additionally, the Intelligent Around View Monitor is optional on the SR trim.
